Attendance Policy

There is no specific requirement for you to attend an introductory or foundation level course before registered for higher level training. However, there is an expectation that you will have a working knowledge of the Civil Contingencies Act and an understanding of the concept of Integrated Emergency Management.

The expected level of knowledge can be gained from experience in the field, or by attending one of our foundation courses as appropriate: 

For courses relating to public safety:

• Introduction to Crowd and Public Safety Management

For courses relating to humanitarian assistance:

• Introduction to Humanitarian Assistance in Emergencies

For all other courses:

• Introduction to Civil Protection
• Starting out in Civil Protection

In addition, each course outline includes a ‘Who Should Attend’ section which describes a typical delegate for that event.
